Pakistan and England played the final of ICC t20 world cup 2022 on Sunday 13 November 2022 in Melbourne Cricket Stadium, Australia. England won the toss and decided to bowl first and invite Pakistan team for batting. Pakistan put target of 138 runs for England and they chase in 19 overs and win the t20 world cup 2022 trophy.
Pakistan Team batting
Once again Pakistan batsman put a low total to defend for bowlers in a very big match of t20 world cup. Pakistan opener once again take a slow start and first wicket lost on just 29 runs. Pakistan scored 39 runs in the first batting powerplay. Pakistan lost their second wicket of young batter Mohammad Haris on just 45 runs; he goes back to pavilion after scoring just 8 runs on 12 balls. The Pakistan team captain Babar Azam lost his wicket at a crucial time when he was set on crease after scoring 32 runs on 28 deliveries. Babar once again failed to perform for his team in this world cup. Shan Masood was also set on crease when he gave his wicket in Sam Curran’s over. Pakistan lost their set batters when they were trying to do some thing extra for their team. In the end of inning Pakistan scored was 137/8 and England will chase 138 runs in 20 overs.
England Team Batting
England opener batter come to ground with the same aggression and same attitude of which they played against India in the semi-final but this time England lost wickets in the powerplay. England lost his first opener batter Alex Hales wicket in the final ball of first over. Alex got bowled on the final delivery of Shaheen’s first over who love to get wicket in his first over. England lost their both opener batter in the powerplay. Jos Buttler scored 26 for 17 and Alex scored 1 for 2. England finished powerplay on 48/3. After 13 overs England were 87/4 and their batter were struggling to hit shorts against Pakistani bowling line-up and at that stage match winning chances were fifty-fifty but in the 13th over Shaheen’s injury increase the winning chances for England as his 2 overs remaing. He came to bowl 16th over of inning but after bowling first delivery, he was feeling pain so he leaves the field and Iftikhar take over. Ben Stokes hit two boundaries on the last 2 deliveries to Iftikhar one is four and last one he hit six that help England to come out from pressure. England chased 138 runs on the final ball of 19th over and won the game and t20 world cup 2022 final as well.

Sam Curran won the player of the match award and also player of the tournament award for his magnificent performance throughout the tournament. He won the player of the match award for his brilliant and match winning bowling performance. He bowls 4 overs and gave just 12 runs and also get 3 wickets.
