It was a do-or-die match for England if they had lost this match or had the match interrupted due to rain, Australia would have qualified for the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The Sri Lankan team won the toss and decided to bat first. Sri Lanka make a good start with the bat and the Sri Lankan opener played a brilliant inning for his team.
